Nicked from angelskuuipo
* With a twist. Since I have both paper and audio books in rotation, I'm going to list both.Book I just finished:
Physical: I've been reading my current book since December, but the last physical book I read was Kept Tears
by Jana Denardo. I won the book from Goodreads and this is the review that I left for it: I very much enjoyed meeting Aaron, a man who lost an arm and suffered other injuries in Afghanistan and is struggling to overcome his PTSD while going to grad school, and decides to approach a gorgeous man at a Steampunk event. While Rhys is a little too good to be true, we learn that he has learned patience in his long, fae, life. He's exactly what Arron needs, even if his baggage is not. The secondary characters were all wonderfully supporting in the roles they had to play. Everyone needs a Corrine in their life.
by Rainbow Rowell. A story we can all relate to. A young introverted fanfiction writer starts college and has to come to terms with how her life is changing and how her writing is changing. And how fanfiction is viewed by those outside the community. I will admit that I went in search of fanfiction for this story when I finished it. This is also one of the few books I've listened to as an audiobook that I am greatly tempted to get a hard copy of so I can re-experience it, in a whole new way.Book I'm currently reading:
Physical: The Constant Princess
by Phillipa Gregory. The story of Katherine of Aragon before and after she married King Henry VIII.
Audio: The Girl on the Train
by Paula Hawkins. I am completely engrossed in this mystery. I think I'll be done with it this weekend, depending on how much time I spend in my car.Book I plan to read next:
Physical: Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, #1)
by Marissa Meyer. This is a futuristic Cinderella retelling that I picked up when I visited angelskuuipo
Audio: Not My Father's Son: A Memoir
by Alan Cumming. What theatre geek doesn't love Alan Cumming? Looking forward to hearing him read his memoir.
