Cookie'd out

When I got home from work I made the Sour Cream Cookies for my dad's gift. It's his mom's recipe, and now that she's passed away, I'm one of the only people who still makes them. I even found a cute cookie tin buried in with my holiday decorations, which I finally unpacked tonight.

[livejournal.com profile] velvetwhip, thanks for the card. [livejournal.com profile] dark_lycoris, I can't wait for you to get home so I can open my package.

I am glad you got the card.

That's so nice that you still make your grandmother's cookies!

They're one of my favorites too, so I get to eat some when I make them for him. My dad always tells me that my coming home is enough of a present for him, so I figured I'd make him a present. He's actually getting 2 presents since I'm giving him one of the items I got in the silent auction last week.

I think that's really sweet of you!

I still preserve one of my grandmother's recipes...her shrimp cocktail sauce. But you can't really give that as a gift.

You are very sweet to do the cookies for your dad and to keep alive your grand mother's recipe. But take in mind your cholesterol and don't eat to much of them why you are making them :)

Yeah, I know. I only kept 2 chocolate chip cookies, 2 shortbread and 2 sour cream cookies - which is very good of me. The rest are all being given away.
