I'm so glad that you liked it. I think Giles had some fun lines in this fic, the one about teenage angst being one of my favorites. And you picked up on the one thing I wasn't 100% about, but like you said, if it was weighing on his mind he could easily be provoked to a harsh tone for having Willow (the one he wants and thinks he can't have) harping on his loneliness.
