After having to work nearly an hour late tonight, I came home and took care of two fandom responsibilities.
Voting is now open for Round 32 of the Sunnydale Memorial Fanfiction Awards!
Go read all of the fabulous stories nominated, then vote for the best.
And encourage all your friends to do so too.
I am very excited to once again bring you a ficathon featuring our favorite witch, Willow Rosenberg. This is my on-going attempt to encourage the writing of more Willow-centric stories. We are open to all pairings (Het, Femslash, Conventional & Unconventional) and gen fics. There are even have some Crossover and Post-Series prompts.

I am excited to announce that Round 30 is now open for Nominations!
Please take a moment to review the Rules and then go Nominate you favorite fic, authors, betas and websites.
You will (hopefully) notice that the nomination form looks a little different this round. When I tested the old one I discovered that Yahoo won't let the old form host through, so I found a new form host today that will deliver the results to my email. The main difference is that the entry boxes for the categories that require additional information are beneath the categories you check off. You can also now save your form if you need to stop and come back to it later as well as review your submission prior to it going through.
Please reach out with any questions and I look forward to the new round.
SunnyD Awards update
Aug. 3rd, 2014 06:13 pmI apologize profusely for having neglected the Sunnydale Memorial Fanfiction Awards this year. Just as I was gearing up to open Round 30 (after the Willowy Goodness Awards concluded) my oldest/first fandom friend died unexpectedly. I decided to dedicate this round to Emmy (emeraldswan), but then couldn't bring myself to create a new layout. You can thank Megan (pickamix) for the gorgeous headers you see this round.
Round 30 will open for nominations on August 9th!
So start planning the stories, authors, fanart and websites you are going to nominate.

SunnyD update and extension
Sep. 29th, 2013 08:31 pmWork has kept me so busy and drained that I have neglected the Sunnydale Memorial Fanfiction Awards. Today was the first time that I have updated the site since August 18th and there were 90 nominations! I can happily say that I am all caught up now.
Even so, I am going to extend the nomination period for 2 weeks, until October 13th, so that we can hopefully get a couple more nominations for Best Comedy and Best Song Fic. (Other categories that could use more noms (i.e. have only 3 noms each) are: Best New Author, Best Beta, Best Fanfic Website, Best Crossover (Book) Pairing, Best Crossover (Movie) Pairing, and Best Original Character Pairing)
