Yeah, we tried to pack a lot into a little time. The wallet thing was annoying and I really would have preferred that it hadn't happened, but I wasn't going to let it ruin the trip.
Kat mentioned something about you being in Rome soon. It's too bad our trips couldn't overlap. Are you going for business or pleasure?
The weather was perfect. I'm not sure what the temps were, but I was comfortable in jeans and a long sleeved shirt, carrying a cardigan. Several people in our little group got sunburned from being outside all day, so I recommend bringing sunscreen. (My moisturizer had an SPF15 in it, so I made sure to use it on my face and chest. My hair kept the back of my neck safe. My scalp got burned along the part in my hair though.)
Most of the waiters spoke English, or enough to take your order. In almost all of the restaurants that we went to they had English descriptions for the dishes.
