I'm home! They let us go at noon today. Woo Hoo! Good thing too because I did all of my work by 11:30am. And I got my token gift from my boss today: 3-tier boxes that look like a snowman. Box 1 has mint cookies, Box 2 has vanila carmel cremes, Box 3 has white chocolate & milk chocolate pretzels (my current food obsession).
First thing I did was make my follow-up appointment with the Nutritionist, which I've been forgetting to do all week. Then I reserved my taxi for Sunday morning to take me to the airport. (Have I mentioned that I'm going to visit my family for 4 days - 12/25-12/28?)
I'll be spending the first part of my afternoon working on the SunnyD Awards. We've had SOOOO many Wiffy nominations that I'm going to borrow Shannon's idea and give them their own sub-categories, to be fair to the other nominees/pairings. While it's great to have so many stories/authors nominated at the site, it's a little overwhelming too.
After that I'll probably play with graphics or read the Faith/Wesley Secretary story (based on the movie of the same name) I've been reading for the last few days. bookworm_jen had recommended it. I've been very bad and reading it at work since I've been done at least 2 hours before it was time to leave the last 2 days and am totally engrossed by it.
Tonight I'll be going to see Brokeback Mountain, with dinner first, with a couple of friends.
