That ending should be the mantra for us Paire shippers.
While we all would prefer to see Peter and Claire together as a couple, most of us are at least happy when they get to spend time together.
As hard as it was not to just have them say "To hell with being related", I wanted to bring it back to canon. I haven't done that before. I just wanted to have them take a different route to discovering they were related. I know that having them kiss and cuddle was a tease, but it made the reveal that much more dramatic, I think.
I'm just glad you did get around to reading it. And hopefully it was a bit more fun being able to read it all at once instead of having to wait for each new chapter.
