Gah!

TNT shuffled their schedule!

I usually get home around 5:45-5:50pm and am able to catch the last 10 minutes of Angel on TNT. Tonight I got home and turned on the TV and it was the end of Charmed. Usually Charmed is on at 6pm and I sit through it while I wait for Law & Order to come on at 7pm.

Apparently Charmed was moved up to 5pm. (No big loss for me. Anything season four or later I don't much care for anyway.) Alias is now on at 6pm - although strangely they started it with the beginning of last season. (I don't usually watch this show, but started last season since it was on after Lost.) L&O is still on at 7pm. Angel is now on at 7AM!!!!! Replacing The Pretender, I might add, which is no longer on at all. Usually I watch BtVS on FX at 7am before work (after checking the Weather Channel).

I hate it when channels change their schedule around like that, especially when thy take a programme and put it in a timeslot that's more than an hour away from the one it was in before.

I do too. I'm sure that I saw commercials that Alias was going to start, but they don't talk about what's getting shifted for it to be shown.

I really hate it when shows I watch after work are moved to the morning. I only have the TV on for half an hour in the morning and usually just as background noise while I get ready for work.

I am just as irked as you are! Now they have Law and Order on at the same time as The New Detectives is shown on the Discovery Channel! Why did they do this? There is no reason to fix what isn't broken!

TNT has a nasty habit of moving the shows I enjoy to the morning, or early afternoon. My biff with them and L&O is that they don't show the eps in order. One day it'll be the first season, the next day the 5th, the next day the last season. It's very rare that I see a L&O I haven't seen before because they just keep playing the same ones. At least when it was on A&E they played them in order.

AND, when it was on A&E, they never preempted it for GOLF! Which happens in my time zone all too frequently! Why did A&E let TNT take L&O away from them? Did they really need the space for crap like Growing up Gotti and Dog: The White Trash Creep From Hell Bounty Hunter?

You haven't had to suffer years of the BBC taking off any Sci-fi fantasy show to make room for ANY sport (mainly Snooker, if you can call this a sport). They've been doing that for at least 15 years now (and now, apart from DR. Who, I don't think they've got ANY Sci-fi or Fantasy shows. They never had Angel which went to Channel 4, who then lost it to Channel 5 (who I think still haven't shown Season 5 of Angel yet) and the BBC also lost (or didn't bid for) the repeats of Buffy, which Channel 5 have also got now.

BBC2 used to be the hallmark of all the best US and UK Sci-fi and Fantasy shows, but over the last two years they've have done their best to purge it all from their progrmming. I'm actually quite surprised that DR. Who even got made with the attitude towards the genre that they have now.

Eek! Now that really would suck.

You are so right! That really would!

There's some sort of plot to make sure than anything worth the effort of watching is on at an inconvenient time. ABC Family moved Gilmore Girls to 10:30am, I get out of my morning classes at 10:40. A week ago, it was on at 11am and I would've been home in time to watch it. It's on at night but I have night classes 2 days a week too.

I keep wishing they'd move GG to a 6 or 7 time slot, but I think it's on around 4pm here. I think it's a sign that I should come home from work and write instead of watching TV. Or go join a gym, finally.

Yeah, here it was on at 11 and 5. Five doesn't work for me because I have school at 6 and have to leave at 5:15 to make it on time during rush hour.

There are very few shows I actually want to watch anymore but the ones I do want to watch are as difficult as possible for me to see.

Hehe, I watch Buffy at 7 on FX too. I check the Weather Channel during the insanely long commercial breaks. I don't know why I put up with watching it on FX when I have all the DVDs. Ih, seems like TV gets to be more trouble than it's worth sometimes.

I keep the TV quiet enough while I'm getting ready in the morning, that I don't know why I bother turning it on. I seem to always be blow drying my hair during the part I really wanted to see anyway.
