This is one of my all-time favorite Disney movies, by the way.

For some reason, something about Tramp's scruffy face and his ingratiating personality made me think "Ethan!" when I glanced at the TV. (I started watching half an hour late, so it could have been the scene I first saw him in that made me think that.) But I'm seeing Buffy characters in old animated Disney movies staring dogs. I found it amusing.

Indeed. It definitely wasn't an unwelcome confusion. And now that I think about it, it isn't too far a leap to see some Ethan in Tramp.
