Something Just Like This

I went to bed as soon as I saw the Electoral College had Obama win, so I missed the speeches. I'm going to have to track those down later today.

My eyes were filled with tears this morning as I read over your posts from last night. It's such an incredible feeling to be so excited about the results of an election. We're all witnessing history.

It was so much fun talking with my parents while watching the results come in. My mom called from the bus on her way to Chicago (where my step-dad lives during the week for his job). I can't wait to talk to her later and hear what it was like there after Obama's win was announced. I also was talking with my dad for a while the results were coming in later. I know that he is over the moon with the outcome.
